Dr. Weaver earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, before completing his medical education at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine at New Mexico State University. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency through the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine/Franciscan Health, followed by fellowship training in adult reconstruction focusing on hip and knee replacement at NorthShore University HealthSystem in Chicago.
Through his training he developed a particular interest in advanced and minimally invasive techniques for hip and knee replacement, including robotic-assisted joint replacement and anterior approach hip replacement. He believes that modern technology and thoughtful surgical techniques can play an important role in helping patients recover efficiently while achieving excellent long-term outcomes.
For Dr. Weaver, his connection to Northwest Indiana is special. His wife grew up in Northwest Indiana, and together they decided to raise their two children in the community they are proud to call home. Returning to the area and building their family here has made serving the local community especially meaningful to him. He understands the importance of having access to high-quality orthopaedic care close to home and feels fortunate to care for the people and families who make the region special.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children, playing golf whenever time and weather allow, and cheering on Indiana University. Family is at the center of his life, and being a husband and father has given him an even greater appreciation for the importance of staying active and participating in the moments that matter most. Dr. Weaver is proud to be part of North Point Orthopaedics and to work alongside a team that shares his commitment to excellent patient care.
