Dr. McComis began his collegiate education at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. After earning his undergraduate degree, he started his medical education at Georgetown University’s School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Dr. McComis continued his education with an internship in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, formerly known as Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Dr. McComis was particularly called to orthopaedics through his study, as his brother faced an orthopaedic injury as a small child. He took this inspiration and enrolled in an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital, in New York. He continued with an orthopaedic spine fellowship at Spine Surgery PSC in Louisville, Kentucky.
Today, Dr. McComis feels blessed to be able to help the patients he treats at North Point Orthopaedics. He welcomes new and returning patients to the practice.
